The Parrot Head Club of
Richmond is a non-profit Virginia corporation whose goal is to assist in
community and environmental concerns and provide a variety of social
activities for people who are interested in the music of Jimmy Buffett and
the tropical lifestyle he personifies. We are a chartered member of the
international organization, Parrot Heads In Paradise, Inc., and as such we
strive to "Party With A Purpose."

Chartered
in 1994, the Parrot Head Club of Richmond, VA, was the 35th chapter to
be sanctioned by Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. This August, we will
celebrate our 15th anniversary, and we will also host the 15th annual
Stars on the Water regional PHlocking! We're very excited about this
milestone year!
To our knowledge, Stars on the Water is the longest-running annual
Parrot Head party sponsored by a PHIP club. Stars, as it is
affectionately called, features top-notch tropical rock bands and solo
artists, and draws guests from the far corners of the USA. Our sellout
crowds of generous Parrot Heads have helped the PHC of Richmond raise
over $100,000 for the Greater Richmond Chapter of the Alzheimer's
Association, as well as thousands of dollars for other worthwhile local
and national charities.
 We
also proudly support, to name just a few, our local food bank, Operation
Paperback (sending hundreds of gently-used paperback books to our troops
in the Middle East), the Richmond SPCA, the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K
race, the Richmond Folk Festival, and the Richmond Animal League's
annual fundraiser, Woofstock.
The
Parrot Head Club of Richmond has approximately 100 members, and meets at
7:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at Mulligan's
Sports Bar & Grill, 1323 W. Main Street. We welcome new members, as
well as visitors who just want to check us out!
